XMPLA has been making a name for himself with his genre-defying sound which combines hip-hop with electronic production. The Sydney-based producer, singer, and songwriter burst onto the scene in 2017 after winning the 301 Studios ‘Is It A Banger’ competition and in the same month finishing runner up in the YourShot DJ competition. XMPLA's debut release ‘Better’ sparked the ears of the industry with the tracks' compelling vocals and production. 

 

In the latter half of 2018 XMPLA went on to release ‘Sun Goes Down’, a bouncy, future bass track, peppered with his unique vocal performance & production. The release quickly became a favourite on Triple J and led him to become a ‘feature artist’ on JJJ Unearthed. 2019 was a big year of collaborations with 4 tracks with the likes of Doolie, Calmell, Hudis, Sean X & Sage May. 2022 has been a year of deeper exploration into new styles, beginning the year with his hard hitting anthem 'The Message', a hip-hop/tribal trap banger that encompassed an important "message to the people". XMPLA then began the new financial year with ‘Windows’, a song that talks about his spiritual journey and how he views current events through the windows of news and social media. He then tops off the year with his new single 'DARKSTAR', surprising his listeners with a fun and high energy track that is dead serious about social and political issues. Stay tuned!
